A NEW BEGINNING!

The Pacific Wind Ensemble is the Bay Area's newest professional chamber music group dedicated to performing distinguished music written for ensembles of eight to thirteen wind instruments.

Join us for the 2009 - 2010 season:

  • Oh! Beethoven - An evolution of Beethoven's music for winds – from Bonn to Vienna
  • Symphonies Parisiens - Music for the "Société des instruments à vent" of 19th century Paris
  • iMpReSsIoNs - Contemporary impressions for wind octet – two composers, two perspectives
  • "...throuh a lens of understanding" - Schubert's "unfinished" octet and a contemporary homage to the classical wind serenade
